Today we remember a fallen star, a lost icon who was taken from us too soon. John Winston Ono Lennon was shot down on this day 30 years ago and it's hard to believe he's been gone for so long when it seems his image and music are just as popular in death as they were in life, if not more.
John Lennon was a visionary and Happy Christmas (War is Over) has become a staple in our Christmas catalogue of songs. It's become relevant again over the past few years. He imagined a world in which peace would exist and what a concept that is! I love this song and wish a Happy and Safe Christmas to any soldiers who won't get to come home for Christmas to be with their families this year. Here's hoping that next year they'll all be home safe and sound!
