I'm catching up a little here on some awards and tags I've received in the last two weeks! So, here they are!

First, I would like to thank Pearls & Bows for the this award!

Second, Thank You Little Pink Magnolia for this one!

Rules:
1. You must be a true lover of the New Year to receive. The person who gave you the award must also heart the New Year.
2. List five loves about the New Year. No limit beyond five.
3. Pass on, as many peeps as you like. And let 'em know!
4. Don't forget to tag the awarder!

My 5 Loves About The New Year:

  • I'm getting married this year! :-) I'm beyond excited for our wedding and to become L's wife!
  • Our honeymoon! We still haven't decided on our destination, but we have it narrowed down to two.. both would be A-MA-ZING!
  • Going to California this Spring!
  • Being the Maid of Honor in Waterfront Preppy's wedding this July on Lake Michigan.. its going to be beautiful!
  • Great things that will be happening on the career-front for both L and I!

I tag anybody else who LOVES the new year!! Yay 2009!

And last, but certainly not least, I was tagged by The Many Adventures of Meg & One Hot Dish for this fun little game!

Here are the rules:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 2 to 5 sentences, along with these rules.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual book. Pick the CLOSEST!
6. Tag five other people to do the same!

Here are my answers:

Ok, the closest book is L's Quantum Leadership book. Here it goes:

"Whole organizations are held hostage to these highly unilateral decision makers and never fully acheive their potential. The glue of trust is never established, precluding the level of productivity that can result from a truly resonating system. Every leader of a component of a larger system must ensure that it operates effectively. The effectiveness of a component system, however, cannot be achieved simply through having an internal locus of control."

Got that?? Haha!

Now, I tag...
All Things Fluffy, Fashionable, and Famous
AGH
Monograms & Martinis in Manhattan
A Southern Accent
Grosgrain Lane

Have fun!
