So after trying really hard to visualize the newly remodled basement having the current black and white checkerboard, not-in-great-shape, tile floors.. Mr. Hockey & I have decided carpet is going to be the way to go. We don't want to get anything really pricey, since its the basement and heaven forbid it ever decides to get damp down there. We just want to get something relatively inexpensive, but still OK quality. And, I DO NOT want the multi-colored industrial-ish carpet, yuck! Something cream-colored. And, since we will be putting down the large straw rug in the living-room area, that is all the more reason that it does not have to be super high quality, because a large portion will be covered anyway. So, carpet shopping has been added to the list!
In Nashville news, the day is almost here!! We're leaving early Thursday morning, open calls are Friday, and call-backs are Saturday.. Keep your fingers crossed for us!! We have our first two songs nailed, and now we just have to clean up the third one. I am so excited for the trip, for auditions, and to just BE in Nashville. And, I love road trips!
Something else to be excited about.. SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!
