Sorry sorry sorry for being MIA this last week. It was a busy one and I didn't have many chances to have a good sit-down at the computer.

This post is going to be about a big decision I'm trying to make. As you may or may not know, I graduated back in April with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Interior Design. Well, as I have made the big dive into "the dream job" search, all paths are leading to a full on career in Interior Design. In the midst of my regret for not just majoring in it completely, I am seriously contemplating going back to school to finish my design degree. For the past month, I have been researching my options. I DO NOT want to go back to school full time, which definitely isn't neccessary anyway. I don't want to enter a program that will not accept the Interior Design credits I already have from my university, and I want to get it done as.fast.as.possible. With careful contemplation, I think I have made the decision that an online program would be ideal for me. I was weary about going that route at first because I know how much hands-on work is involved in this field and I remember studio time with our professors being the most helpful part of our development as designers. So, I wasn't sure if that was even going to be possible or a smart decision. But, the ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) site has been really helpful and actually listed links for 5 online programs that they recognize that will meet the educational requirements to sit for the NCIDQ exam. So I have been trying to compare them and do the research to decide if online-study is the way to go. And, so far, I'm impressed. And, of course, excited because doing an online program, that would hopefully run at the pace of someone with a full-time job, would be the best thing ever! So, I'm going to continue to look into them, speak with advisors, and weigh the different options. Hopefully I will have a clear decision soon!

In the meantime.. any designers out there who have any advice? Have you or do you know anyone who has gone the "online" route? Thanks in advance! :-)
