In Which Pink Julep Admits She Survived Her 1st Year of Marriage and Liked It!

One year ago today, I married my best friend, accountant, tv-watching buddy, workout partner, motorcycle guru, soccer tutor, riverdance instructor, karaoke collaborator, and dance partner!
It was a beautiful day even though there was a record heat wave and everyone nearly died from heat stroke... but other than that, it couldn't have been more perfect!

We weren't your typical bride and groom... in fact, I was chuckling during most of the ceremony because Mr. Julep was sweating bullets! What?!?! Don't judge, that's funny! And well, to be honest, while I loved saying those vows in front of our closest friends and family members and getting married to Mr. Julep was the most memorable and important moments in my life so far, let's be honest... we kept the cermony short and sweet cause we were in it for the party!

And when it was all done and dusted, we were happy as can be! Like two little giggling peas in a pod!

Our bridal party was amazing! They took care of every little thing and they cleaned up nice!

And to this day, we're still quite the happy couple! In fact, aside from sharing a bathroom, I'm not sure why everyone goes on about how "hard" marriage is. I like to think of it as an excuse to always get to hang out with my best buddy! Being married to Mr. Julep is fun and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I loved my flowers! The perfect pink roses with white pearl stefanotis tied together in pink satin ribbon with criss-cross corsetted purple tulle... gorgeous!

And our cake was truly a party cake! Most importantly, it was yummy! And animal friendly!

One year later, we're still rockin the boogie every chance we can get...

and keepin it real!
Mr. Julep, it's been such a treat being your wife this year! I love you so much! YOU. ARE. BAH. NANAS! Thanks for doing the dishes when I'm tired, helping with the laundry, fixing the car, bringing me ice cream on bad days, keeping the drinks coming on worse days and watching The Twilight Saga films and reality fashion tv shows as many times as you do! I look forward to many more years together! I don't think 300 years would be enough time! Happy 1 Year Anniversary!!!
xoxo,
Pink Julep!
