Lovely Weekend Treats!

We have had a wonderful weekend full of delicious treats! Last night we stayed in for a movie night. Because we had several hours of film viewing pleasure, I not only prepared a small jerk chicken dinner, but put out some munchies for us including brie, cheddar we got at the Foodies Festival, crackers, salami, sliced baguette with lemon and lime olive oils for dipping, Haribo and mini poppadoms with sour cream dip! Obviously we didn't eat all that, but it was fun to have some good munchies while we watched movies for 5 hours.

This morning... erm, afternoon, after we woke up we had a pancake breakfast! Our toppings included fresh locally grown organic strawberries, fresh bananas, lemon juice, powdered sugar, Starbucks caramel drizzle sauce and nutella. Marc made the pancakes while I prepared the fixins and it was a delicious feast! We dined on our pancakes while enjoying a lovely bouquet of Sweet Williams that I found on sale in the grocery store across the street. They're pink and beautifully bright, not like the white ones Kate Middleton had in her bridal bouquet. The pancakes kept us full most of the day and we've finished off our night with sushi for dinner!
