My Picks for Best Dressed at the CFDA Awards

Whitney Port in Pamella Roland

There were some great looks at the CFDA Awards red carpet and many of them were beautiful, but they didn't make my list because my list primarily includes looks that are new, fresh and don't resembly something I've seen before on red carpets in the past! Also, if I were predicting trends based on this red carpet, I'd say that the days of the ladylike silhouettes are numbered. It looks like the gurus of fashion are bringing sexy back! These women look confident, powerful and ready to rumble! Here are my picks for best dressed!

Shenae Grimes in Rebecca Taylor

I'm not particularly sure about Shenae's shoes, which look like they were pulled from the costume closet of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don't hate them... I kind of like them, but they are a wee bit clunky so I'm on the fence. However, the cut of this ensemble is flawless! I love it! I love the lace and think the whole look is really sexy! Also, I'm dying over how beautiful her new darker hair is! Gorgeous!

Marcia Cross in Pamella Roland

God Bless Marcia Cross for finally showing the world how a jumpsuit can work! She looks like she channelled some Studio 54 divas from the 70's and she looks HAWT! If you're gonna wear a jumpsuit, go whole hog with sequins glamour! This works and it's gorgeous!

Doutzen Kroes in J. Mendel

I love the complicated simplicity of this garment. It's bright red and has not only a slit up to the thigh and interesting arm/neckline situation, but that's it. No sparkles, no spangles. I love this. It's interesting, sexy and flattering! Also, the shoes are a winner in my book! SEXY!

Leigh Lezark in Helmut Lang

Mustard is a huge color and it's interesting! I love it paired with black heels and accessories. Also, the cut of this dress is fabulous and sexy, however I will admit that the bottom is a little distracting, but this is fashion and it's fabulous! There's something very mod about this! Leigh Lezark truly looks like a Bond Girl here.

Amber Heard in Cynthia Rowley

This is probably the most conventionally pretty look on my list. I love it because it's so pretty and expected, but I never expected that belt or those gold shoes! Very pretty.
