NYFW: Xanadu, Disco Glamour & Pastel Suiting at Luca Luca Spring 2012

Luca Luca delivered a diverse Spring 2012 collection that has a fresh take on some old themes including 70's glamour, ice capades style dresses and pastel color blocking.

These dresses remind me so much of Xanadu, one of my childhood favorites! If you aren't familiar with this Olivia Newton John classic, it's time you put it on your Lovefilm or Netflix cue... and you'll be in for a treat!

I love this pastel take on the color blocking trend! It's perfect for spring and a different look than the typical jewel tone color blocking that has been popular all summer. Combining color blocking with suits and tailored looks is a great way to wear this trend!

Glamourous 70's inspired dresses aren't going anywhere any time soon! Get used to these Charlie's Angels styles cause they seem to be here to stay for a while. I for one love it! They are so much more flattering and pretty than the bandage dress trends of recent years... spandex just isn't as forgiving as a flowy silhouette.

I'm certain that Luca Luca won't be my favorite collection from New York Fashion Week, but I have to say, I do like it. It's fun, bright and interesting. What do you think of the Luca Luca Spring 2012 collection?
