The stress has been slowly creeping up on me this week, and tonight, I'm really feeling it. I'm trying to get adjusted to my new job, and grad school, both of which began this week. On top of this, I have an almost hour commute each way to work..
when traffic is running smoothly. I've kind of tweeked my schedule so that I will hopefully miss the throws of rush hour from now on. They gave me the option of working 8:30-5:00 or 8:00 to 4:3o, and while I first chose the 8:30 option (another half hour of sleep, hellooooo!), I realized quickly that its much more worth it to get on the road 30 minutes earlier each way. I work in an area full of high rise business offices, who's hours are.. you guessed it.. 9 to 5. Pair that up with some major construction in the area, and you have a GRIDLOCK when you don't choose your timing and route wisely. Anyway, I think I have a pretty good set up going now, so things will be good!
As soon as I got home from work today, I had to write two papers for a class. They were due at 9:00. I have vowed that I will not procrastinate in Grad school, but these first two assignments for this class just had to be exceptions to the rule with everything else going on. So, I did the "better under pressure" thing tonight.
In some exciting news, a fabulous Fall Harvest is on its way to
Old Friends & New Shoes. I'm a little late due to my hectic week, but the fun fall goodies will totally make up for it!! I also found some adorable Fall/Halloween-esque decor that I will share with you when I have a chance to catch up with life.. TG tomorrow is F.
Goodnight from one exhausted, but loving every minute, Vineyard Vogue.
