Tabio Socks and Tights Specialty Store

Tabio is a Japanese specialty sock & tights shop that sells the most luxuriously fabulous and fashionable hosiery for both women and men! I ventured into one of these stores after reading that Charlotte Gainsbourg (daughter of Jane Birkin for whom the Birkin bag was named) is a fan! I have also read on the Tabio website that Helena Bonham Carter shops there as well!

I purchased the 30 Denier tights in grey and brown. At 10 pounds per pair, they are not at all cheap, so I just picked up 2 pairs to try in colors of grey and brown that are hard to find in other shops (in my limited London shopping experience). Tabio tights are avaialble in a variety of colors, weights and designs. 30 Denier is a light weight for tights and it's a little less opaque than 60 Denier.

These tights feel like melted butter on your skin! They don't wiggle down as you walk and they are super comfortable, like wearing nothing at all, yet they still give good support and shape! I love them! I wore my grey ones (sorry, no photo) out last night and they were perfect in every way!

Sadly Tabio is not yet available in the United States, but with other Japanese brands branching out like Uniqlo (one of my new faves!) I wouldn't be surprised to see Tabio in the US very soon!
