I'm Still Here!

Well, I finally have a chance to sit down and post! What a busy busy couple of weeks it has been. Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. Spending time in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with family was very relaxing. While we were there, we also went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland with Dad.. so much fun!

Yesterday L and I decorated the house for Christmas. We put up the Christmas tree, complete with our new engagement ornament :-). We also set up our little tree in the tv room and its so cute and cozy! We went to Lowe's and picked up two wreaths and two red bows for the front windows, which he will be putting up today. I packed up the Fall decor and its officially Christmas-time!!

Speaking of Christmas-time, I received my Christmas swap package AND my recipe swap gift this week!! Cena sent some very pretty ornaments, a Christmas tree soap bottle, Santa loofa, fun Christmas cards and a pad of paper, a cute little Christmas pen, and a Santa bar soap! Very fun! aGh sent a recipe for her Tortellini Florentine Soup attached to a Williams-Sonoma Red Spatula. The soup sounds AMAZING and I cannot wait to make it for L and I on one of these cold December days!

On to wedding planning!! L and I browsed the wedding planning section of Border's on Saturday night to find a good wedding planner. I decided on The Ultimate Wedding and Workbook & Organizer. It has a filing section for important reciepts and vendor documents, as well as lists for every little last thing we need to be planning, complete with timelines. I realize that most planners have this, but I really liked the set up of this planner. Very clear and concise, and its large. A lot of the planners were small guides. I need a big workbook!

We have also begun looking for a photographer. I'm realizing how very fast they book up! We are hoping to be married next September, and the top two photographers that we have our eye on are definitely busy! Using one of them will definitely narrow down our date options! They still have a couple of good openings, but I know they will go fast. They are based out of Grand Rapids so I think L and I may set up consultations with them while we're visiting Kalamazoo this weekend. Just in case, any other Michiganders out there who loved their photographer and wouldn't mind passing along their info so that we can check them out? :-)

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and has a great Monday!
