Product Review: LUSH The Sacred Truth Face Mask

I have a friend in New York who used to go to LUSH regularly in Harold Square to pick up face masks to sooth her after a hard day, lack of sleep or just for a treat in general. I have never before used a face mask from LUSH, but the last time I was there, I decided to give one a try. I decided on The Sacred Truth which is supposed to protect from aging. Containing wheatgrass, anti-oxidants and green tea, this mask is supposed to refresh and revive the skin.

After applying the mask, I think I somewhat resembled The Wicked Witch of the West. It looks thin, but it's slathered on quite thick in this photo. It's green goo in a tub and while it doesn't smell good, it doesn't stink. I left the mask on until it dried and then rinsed off with warm water as instructed.

This mask packs a tiny tingle and feels good on the skin. My skin was soft afterwards, but other than that, I can't tell if there are any great effects from using this mask. But it's all-natural and has some great ingredients, so I'll probably continue using it. One small tub of this mask will probably yield between 3 and 4 applications, which isn't too bad for the small price tag! I think I still prefer the Khiel's clay mask that I have as my favorite, but this one is great too and much cheaper!

FYI - London LUSH stores do a scheme where if you return any 5 pots empty and clean with the lids for recycling, they'll give you a free face mask! Not too shabby!
