Casual Friday is my favorite work day of the week. I'd much rather rock a jean skirt or jeans in this uncomfortable heat than lined heat absorbing slacks! I was feeling a little nautical on Friday and even though I know horizontal stripes are a curvy gal's nightmare, I'm loving the stripes I'm seeing on stars and runways!

Here is a close-up of one of my FAVORITE pieces of jewelry, a diamond star pendant that was a gift from my parents. I love this necklace so much! It's my equivalent of a ghetto gold Carrie necklace.

While sitting outside on a park bench in front of a lovely tree, this big ole bastard crawled up the tree right behind my head and scared the bejesus outta me! It was pretty funny when I started screaming bloody murder!

But seriously, he's HUGE! Can you imagine just turning around and seeing this guy staring you in the eye? It wasn't pleasant!

On Saturday we headed to Camana Bay for a little shopping and coffee at Cafe del Sol. I picked up this adorable book mark which I love. Little things like this can really spruce up your life!

Then we decided to go out, which ended in DISASTER! Sometimes the bars on island are completely empty... not sure what's going on, but it seems everyone on island disappeared this weekend. So we didn't have that much fun, but I loved my outfit!

I love shorts! They aren't just for gym class anymore! The right pair of dressier shorts can be gussied up and paired with heels or wedges for a casual evening out! Stars are wearing shorts to formal events all the time now and I just love experimenting with these looks!
