Pink Julep Loves: The John Hardy Naga Crown Kick Cuff

I featured a John Hardy cuff on a post I did a few days ago which you can find here. I'm falling more and more in love with this line and a piece of John Hardy is swiftly moving to the top of my Christmas wishlist!!! The piece above is the John Hardy Naga Crown Kick Cuff in Sterling Silver and 18K Gold and I'm in love! It reminds me of a time of dynasties from long ago and yet also would go with that safari look that everyone is raving about these days! This is a stand-out piece that could be used to make outfits pop for years to come. It's definitely a classic staple that I'd like to add to my collection of go-to's! And what a fabulous heirloom it would make to pass on to a daughter, niece or God-daughter!
Here is some information on the cuff:
"Introduced in 2008 as the first figurative piece for John Hardy, the Naga collection brings to life the Balinese legend of the dragon, a revered mythological creature symbolizing prosperity and good luck.
Bedarida's translation of the dragon unites both abstract and figurative representations of the creature. Adorned in gold dots, the Naga Crown Kick Cuff is a complex piece that takes 42 working days to create. The piece showcases interlocking forms and exquisitely patterned lattice work in 18K gold.
The inner grill is hand-carved with intricate detailing that depicts a pair of dragons in stylized swirls, a meticulous representation of fire and wind."
Wow! Don't you love a piece of jewelry or a handbag with a story behind it?!? Loves it!
xoxo,
Pink Julep!
