Pink Julep at the Library: Living Dead in Dallas

I started Reading the Sookie Stackhouse books during Christmas 2008 after seeing True Blood and loving it! I liked the first book a lot. But when I started Living Dead in Dallas, I just couldn't get through it. So I put it down for over a year. I recently picked it up to try again and I breezed through it! It's pretty good. The Sookie Stackhouse series are not my favorite by any stretch, but they breeze by quickly and they are interesting. However, compared to other books I've read recently, they just don't cut the mustard. I'm now reading Club Dead because to be honest, I bought several of them so I might as well read them and get rid of them.

The books aren't bad, but they are in no way as good as the show! I love the show True Blood and I think the writers have fixed several of the problems in the books. I know a lot of people are just in love with this series, but I just don't see it!

Have you read Living Dead in Dallas? If so, what did you think? I gave it only 3 stars out of 5 on Goodreads. By the way, if you're on Goodreads, find me! I'm on there under Pink Julep!

xoxo,
Pink Julep!
