Oh the week it has been!

I'm sitting here at the airport in SC, with my husband, waiting for our flight back to Michigan. It has been such an awesome week. We spent it on Hilton Head Island, and while we discovered that Hilton Head was not exactly what we had envisioned, we were able to spend a couple of wonderful days in one of our favorite cities- Savannah, Georgia. We ate at The Lady & Sons (a long-time dream of mine), browsed the civil-war relic-filled antique shops (I know, dorks), had an AWESOME dinner of crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, sausage, & potatoes at The Crab Shack on Tybee Island, toured the "haunted" Sorrel-Weed House, strolled through the many beautiful squares including Chippewa Square where Forrest Gump himself once relaxed on a bench (with a box of chocolates). We took loads of photos and just enjoyed being surrounded by the gorgeous old homes and beautiful spanish moss draped trees.

During the time that we stayed on Hilton Head, we ate GREAT food.. and tons of it. I think that between the two of us we are going to cause our airplane to be about 20 lbs heavier on the way back. For anyone visiting HH in the future, you must eat on the deck at The Crazy Crab overlooking the marsh, and venture to Sea Pines and have lunch or dinner at The Salty Dog Cafe. We were spoiled with lowcountry seafood this week and our bellies our bellies were very thankful!!

Once we are home I will do a more in depth re-cap, complete with photos! But for now, just wanted to say Thank You for all of your sweet comments over the last week as well as the last months leading up to our wedding. It was the most wonderful day, better than we could have imagined, and I can't wait to share our photos and stories with all of you!! I also can't wait to get back into the swing of things with blogging.. there are some fun things coming up on Vineyard Vogue so be sure to stay tuned!!

I'll leave you with the one sneak peek photo that our photographer has posted so far. We cannot wait to see more!! :o)
