Busy Bee

Hi all! Today I went power shopping. I had 2 goals in mind and I went shopping knowing what they were. I said in my last post that I like to browse online before I go into the store. I was headed to forever21 in my mall and so I checked the website to see what they might have in store for me. I came across two things on the website that I wanted to look for in the store. Fortunately or unfortunately, I found one of them! Check out this skirt that I snagged:

How cute?! I need an outfit for an alumni function for my high school class that I'm organizing for next Monday the 21st. Imagine this with black tights, a black turtle neck and black boots! I'm so excited that it only set me back $20.99-tax included, it's very me too! I managed to snatch up the very last one in the store, or at least the last one I could find, you know how forever21 stores can be! It really is pink, but there isn't really good lighting in my room!!

I also needed a Christmas cocktail dress for a work party that a close co-worker of mine is hosting! She sent out fabulous evites a few days ago, specifying cocktail attire and I don't have any decent dresses for the winter. I grabbed this dress from H&M for ~$35!

How fun is that bow at the top? Click on the photo if you need so you can see the details. It looks nicer as a larger picture! I'm super excited to pair this with black tights and some kind of festive black shoes. My sister is going to wear a similar champagne colored dress with a scoop neckline from Madewell (J. Crew's "cousin" store) with black tights as well!

I am so excited about my week coming up! It should be a lot of fun. And hopefully my hair will be all set to go right around Wednesday because that's my appointment day with my REAL hair woman. I'm crossing my fingers that she can salvage the current color (yucky orange-auburn, not me at ALL) and get it to something respectable-oh college adventures!

Visitors!

These are some of the lovely ladies that work with me in the Lilly store! This was near the end of the summer and we snuck in a photo shoot with my mom to get pictures of a lot of the people who work a bunch! In the long dress is Amanda C. Bee, a fellow blogger who's currently studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh and I'm now at college so we had to get this photo shoot in ASAP! The girl with the strapless patchwork dress is Emma and she's a senior in high school right now. She lives a few houses down from me and she's visiting USC tomorrow! I couldn't be more excited to show her around and give her the "unofficial tour". I just get so excited when I hear about friends of mine who are applying this year because I love showcasing the school! This photo is actually printed out and sitting on my desk, so you know its a big deal! We always had a great time working together since we're so close in age and obviously share a lot of interests!!

This weekend is also a big weekend since I have to hit the books majorly! I only have school Monday and Tuesday next week but I seem to have two weeks worth of work squeezed in between now and then! Tuesday night, I'm jetting home until Monday which I'm super excited about! I've only been home once since I got to school and that was about a month ago! Thanksgiving will be too much fun and T-Giving Saturday is the big CLEMSON-CAROLINA football game! I won't be here, but I will have all of that Saturday devoted to watching it (and a little Navy/Hawaii)! I can't wait to see what that'll be like!

My First Polyvore!

Hi all! I decided to "polyvore" my outfit for work today. This might be my new favorite thing. Its fabulous. Anyway, since it's getting warm, like 75 and sunny, I decided to wear my Jacqueline Knit Critter dress that my parents got me for Christmas! Check out my outfit today:

Minus the kind-of-/-very-tacky butterfly Coach bracelet, this is what I wore. I couldn't find the red Coach bangle by itself anywhere. Crazy. Hopefully this works! I think it is too much fun (as long as you can find the clothes you need!!!)

Today at work, we got a TON done! Unpacked 4 boxes of Lilly Summer 2009 stuff. Let me tell you, it is adorable. There were 2 shifts in there that I want to buy and another pink dress that is awesome. Everything is super summer-y with heavy duty "lace" but really its just like heavy duty wide rick-rack. Continuing, its going to be an awesome summer line for Lilly, a great way to pick up the kind of wear Spring/Resort showing that there was in the stores. Plus, check out your own Lilly stores, Resort should be going on sale soon, if its not already. Ours is already 40% off, which is awesome because we still have a pretty major stock.
