On our last day in Normandy
we had planned to visit Guernsey
It was a windy and grey morning

especially after I saw the lighthouse on in the distance-

soprattutto dopo aver visto a distanza il faro azionato-
Non abbiamo preso quel traghetto
{confesso di essermi sentita estremamente sollevata}
Ricordate che i miei amici avevano perso i documenti?
Beh
alla dogana non ci hanno lasciati passare
