I absolutely love the way Marc Jacobs updated this trend by mixing it with another big trend for Autumn, oh-so-classic polka dots!
If you don't want to splurge on a new outfit, do what Milly did for Autumn and throw a solid hued jumper over a different colour dress and top it off with a coat in yet another colour! Using this trick makes this a very accessible trend for everyone, regardless of your budget!
I love how Giambattista Valli stepped this look up a notch by using one 3-D piece like a skirt with a big bow.
My favourite look of all is the simplistic approach to colour blocking as seen on runway looks by Chado Ralph Rucci. This dress is one of my favourite looks from the Fall 2011 runways. It's so classy and chic!
Carlos Miele applies the trend to his floaty, ethereal evening gowns. I think this olive and royal blue combination is just gorgeous!
Bottega Venetta's approach incorporates the 60's trend as well, creating a vibrant but very chic and ladylike look!
I love this trend! I think it's fun and really gives a girl something to play with when she goes to her closet in the morning! Will you get creative and create your own colour blocking outfits this Fall?
