I will have the official

first guests

in my "maison"

Sabato avrò a cena

i miei primi ospiti ufficiali

I've been spending hours

imagining

the table setting

the menu

The styling

Ho trascorso ore a immaginare

il set della tavola

il menù

lo styling

I could see myself

all smiling and beautiful aprons

as a new Nigella Lawson

with wonderful food in my new pans

and the notes of some jazz in the background

Già mi vedevo

tutta sorrisi e meravigliosi grembiuli

come una novella Nigella Lawson

con del cibo strepitoso nelle mie nuove padelle

e delle note jazz di sottofondo



Instead

last week happened some things

and I've found myself

in the worst mood ever

No Nigella

I feel

More like Bridget Jones

Invece

la settimana scorsa sono successe

alcune cose

e mi sono ritrovata

nel peggior stato emotivo possibile

Niente Nigella

Mi sento più come

Bridget Jones

So no time

for preparing

for styling the table

for searching new recipes

No time

and

no will

Quindi niente tempo

per preparare

per lo styling del tavolo

per cercare nuove ricette

Nè tempo

Nè voglia

At last

I called my first dinner off

Alla fine

ho disdetto la cena

The fact is

that my friends are awesome

And really did not want to

call anything off

So

They take

the food

the drinking

And their love

Il fatto è

che i miei amici sono meravigliosi

E non hanno voluto disdire un bel niente

Quindi

Loro portano

il cibo

le bevande

E il loro affetto

I offered to prepare the cake

So I was looking for some inspiration

This blog is one of my favourite

I'm always astonished

not only by the fab recipes presented

but on how food looks more like

a work of art

Io mi sono offerta di preparare almeno il dolce

I'm so happy about the result

I find it has an English look

but it's still fresh and quite modern

I have a thing for the ceramic sink

Imagine a red and white checked curtain

And manymore

And I will hang on the wall all my Alex Clarks

small paintings with

roosters, sheeps, cows  & views of the english country life

that I bought in my 2008 England tour

Sono molto soddisfatta del risultato

ha un look inglese ma fresco e moderno

sono innamorata del lavello in ceramica

Immaginate una tendina a quadri rossi e bianchi

che appenderò sotto...

Sopra il lavello invece immaginate una barra in acciaio

dove appenderò

utensili da cucina

padelle

tazze

e molte altre cose ancora...

Inoltre, appenderò tutte le mie stampe di Alex Clark

con galli, mucche, pecore e scene di vita campestre inglese

che ho comprato durante il mio tour in Inghilterra del 2008

They will be filled in with my

This is my oven!

I can't wait to experiment many new recipes

and prepare dinners for my guests!!!

I like its retro look

I could have it in burgundy

And I was really tempted

But I will have much red in my kitchen

So I didn't want to overact....

Tomorrow people from Ikea will finish
and so I will start cleaning and I will
finally move all my bags full of purchases
in my kitchen

So don't miss it!!

Yes

at last it happened

My kitchen was delivered last Thursday

But

it has not been finished
I spent 3 afternoons at Ikea
checking that everything was ok
Non è finita
Ho speso 3 pomeriggi a Ikea
accertandomi che tutto fosse ok


Instead they were still able
to put to wrong measures to the planner
Invece sono stati capaci
di riportare le misure sbagliate sul planner

So

now
in my kitchen
I have more
 empty spaces
than I should have
Così
Ora
nella mia cucina
Ho più spazio di quanto dovrei avere

And I still haven't
hinted that they delivered some wrong items
E non ho ancora accennato
al fatto che mi hanno  ordinato della merce
sbagliata


So
within the week
I will go to Ikea
to substitute those items
and buy a couple of more cupboards
Così
entro la settimana
andrò a ikea
per sostituire alcuni articoli
e comprare un paio di pensili in più

It will take 2 more weeks for

delivery and assembly

After that I hope that this chapter

kitchen

will be definitely closed!

I'm really practising in
