White bliss

You all know I've been away for a while

You know I've asked myself if I should go on with this blog

or not

But in this period of absence I've carried on with my life and

especially with my job

Sapete che sono stata via per un po'

Sapete che mi sono interrogata se andare avanti con questo blog

oppure no

Ma in questo periodo di assenza sono andata avanti con la mia vita

e soprattutto con il mio lavoro

Each time some customer approaches me

asking for inspiration, for suggestion

each time they ask me to furnish their homes because they have no idea

each time they ask me to go to their homes to see the result

each time they ask me support to choose curtains, lamps and pictures

I remember that I can do it the way I do

partly because of my instinct

mainly because of all the things I've learnt through the blog world

Ogni volta che qualche cliente mi avvicina

chiedendo ispirazione, chiedendo un suggerimento

Ogni volta che mi chiedono un aiuto per arredare le loro case perchè non hanno idee
Ogni volta che mi invitano a casa loro per vedere il risultato

Ogni volta che mi chiedono supporto per scegliere una lampada, una tenda o un quadro

Mi ricordo che faccio quello che faccio come lo faccio

in parte grazie al mio istinto

ma soprattutto grazie a ciò che ho imparato attraverso questo blog

It's been a sort of speed course of interior design

All those people out there so inspired and inspiring

so professional and

so good at what they do

That was the answer I needed

So please forgive me if many of the things I will post you may have seen elsewhere

but I've been away for a while

But it's so good to be back!

E' stato una sorta di corso accellerato di interior design

Tutte queste persone là fuori così ispirate e ispiratrici

così professionali

così brave in ciò che fanno

Questa era la risposta che mi serviva

Quindi, scusate se qualche volta posterò cose già viste

ma sapete che sono stata via per un po'

Now is a beautiful
home

full of the typical charm

that only a french touch

can achieve

Ora è una bellissima

casa

con quel fascino tipico

che solo un tocco francese

riesce a raggiungere

A collection of crystal vases and

glass' cloches

Una collezione di vasi di cristallo e

campane di vetro

Wooden elements warm the white living room

Gli elementi in legno riscaldano il salotto bianco

The blue china adds some colour to the greys and taupes

La porcellana blu aggiunge un po' di colore ai grigi e ai talpa

The kitchen is rustic

I like to see cooking stuff all around

La cucina è rustica

Mi piace vedere gli utensili per cucina

tutti esposti

All shades of greys are chosen for the master bedroom too

But red fabric toile de jouy completes the elegance of the room

Framed becomes an original and beautiful picture

Anche per la camera da letto sono state scelte tutte le tonalità di grigi

Ma la toile de jouy completa l'eleganza della stanza

this couple felt the

urge to move

l'urgenza di trasferirsi

The attraction for the very south

bathed in the sun and surrounded by

vineyards and wonderful landscapes

was very powerful

L'attrazione per il sud

bagnato dal sole e circondato

da vigneti e paesaggi spettacolari

è stata molto forte

So they started looking for the

perfect place

in Provence

travelling between

Les Baux and St Rémy

Così hanno cominciato a cercare

il posto perfetto

in Provenza

viaggiando tra

Les Baux e St Remy

But it was Aix en Provence

the very place Helene

felt for

Ma è stato ad Aix en Provence

che Helene si è innamorata

 

Helene found this 1750 mas

in internet

It was a true "coup de foudre"

Helene ha trovato questo vecchio mas del 1750

su internet

E' stato un vero colpo di fulmine

Visiting the building

simply convinced her

that it was

The place

they were looking for

Visitare l'edificio non ha fatto altro che

convincerla

che quello era

il posto

che stavano cercando

In 1 week

they left Paris

and started to transform

the ancient mas

into their dream home

In 1 settimana

lasciarono Parigi

e iniziarono a trasformare

il vecchio casale

nella casa dei loro sogni



Helene cared for each detail
The natural palette
-grey and cream-
Old forniture restored
Decoration objects discovered in
brocante markets and vide-greniers
All concur to create its unique
"Esprit de famille"
Helene si è presa cura di ogni dettaglio
La palette di toni naturali

I mobili antichi restaurati
Gli oggetti scovati nei mercatini di brocante
e nei vide-grenier
Tutto contribuisce a creare
quest'atmosfera familiare

by antique linens which Helen

sews herself

in her small atelier

to create

pillows, bags and romantic dresses

La casa si veste

con le stoffe antiche che Helene

cuce lei stessa

nel suo piccolo atelier

per creare cuscini, borse e romantici vestiti

Helene and Pascal are very fond

of nature

They personally designed

their new garden

with roses, lavender, aromatic herbes

and cultivate their own vegetables

and a small vineyard

Helene e Pascal amano molto

la natura

Hanno riprogettato personalmente

il loro giardino

con rose, lavanda, erbe aromatiche

e coltivano le loro verdure

e un piccolo vigneto

To me this is the real

perfect life

I've been working hard cleaning my house
I'm  almost ready to settle
I've found my bed at Ikea
Found the shelves for the kitchen
But I can tell you
I'm really tired
All my free time from work is spent
to the house cleaning and tidying
I really need a break

Io ho passato il weekend a pulire in casa
Sono quasi pronta a traslocare
Ho trovato il mio letto a Ikea
e le mensole per la cucina
Ma posso dirlo
Sono davvero stanca

Ho davvero bisogno di una pausa
